Complete country guide ↗
Visa route
Nationality-based eVisa, consular route, or a separately eligible authorization; GCC nationals generally do not require a visit visa.
How to apply
Check passport eligibility on the official Saudi portal, create an application, upload the requested passport/photo information, pay the displayed charges, and retain the approval. Ineligible applicants must use the designated consular or authorized-provider route.
Stay and validity
Standard tourist eVisa: one-year multiple entry, with up to 90 days total stay. A separate UK-passport ETA introduced from 1 July 2026 permits up to 180 cumulative days within its year; do not apply that allowance to other passports or the standard eVisa.
Fees and charges
Use the current portal quotation, including any required insurance, tax, and service charges. No single fee was verified as applicable to every route.
Passport and documents
Normally at least six months of passport validity; exact supporting documents depend on the passport and route.
Key restrictions
Tourism or eligible Umrah permission is not Hajj permission. Makkah is restricted to Muslims; confirm seasonal entry controls. Tourist permission is not work or residence authorization.

United Arab Emirates

Visa exemption or visa on arrival for eligible passports; otherwise an advance tourist visa arranged through an approved airline, hotel, or travel provider.

Complete country guide ↗
Visa route
Visa exemption or visa on arrival for eligible passports; otherwise an advance tourist visa arranged through an approved airline, hotel, or travel provider.
How to apply
Check the UAE government eligibility guidance. Where an advance visa is required, apply through an authorized sponsoring provider and supply passport, travel, accommodation, and any requested insurance details; wait for approval before travel.
Stay and validity
Permission varies by nationality and scheme. The cited Dubai single-entry service offers 30-day or 60-day stays; other arrival and long-validity visas have different limits.
Fees and charges
Dubai GDRFA single-entry base fee: AED 200 for 30 days or AED 300 for 60 days, plus 5% VAT; insurance, provider, and other charges may be additional. These are not universal UAE all-in prices.
Passport and documents
Check the exact route’s passport-validity requirement and supply passport copy, photo, itinerary, accommodation, and any sponsor or insurance documents requested.
Key restrictions
An airline or hotel booking alone is not visa approval. Check the issuing authority and rules for extensions or employment separately.

Complete country guide ↗
Visa route
Federal Iraq and the Kurdistan Region require separate route checks. FCDO’s British-passport guidance states advance federal eVisa, with no federal visa on arrival.
How to apply
For federal Iraq, check and apply through the official eVisa service before travel; British-passport guidance says at least 24 hours in advance, with extra contingency advisable. For the Kurdistan Region, use its official visit portal or a confirmed eligible arrival route.
Stay and validity
British-passport federal guidance lists an eVisa valid for 60 days. Validity is not asserted here as a 60-day authorized stay. Kurdistan Region permission does not authorize travel elsewhere in federal Iraq.
Fees and charges
FCDO’s full British-citizen passport guidance quotes USD 160 for the federal eVisa. This is not asserted as the fee for every nationality or for a Kurdistan Region visa.
Passport and documents
For the cited British route: at least six months of passport validity, a blank page, and return/onward travel. Confirm nationality-specific requirements and operator documentation.
Key restrictions
Do not enter federal Iraq using only Kurdistan Region permission. Travel warnings, route checks, and insurance limitations remain relevant even with an approved visa.
